The Egyptian Olympic Committee was founded by Mr. Anglo Bolanaki on June 13, 1910 under the chairmanship of Prince Omar Tosson.

The Mediterranean Games ICMG (International Committee For Mediterranean Games) was the brainchild of Mohamed Taher Pasha (Egypt NOC President and IOC Vice-President) in 1929, and the first Mediterranean Games take place in Alexandria in 1951.

The UANOC (Union of Arab National Olympic Committees) The Arab Games was the brainchild of Dr. AbdelRahman Azzam (from Egypt) – the Secretary General of the Arab League & he received the approval of the Arab Countries in 1947.
The First Arab Games take place in 1953 in Egypt.
